Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire

img_6008.JPG

challenge 2.  we had to use hot pink and charcoal…which was a little out of my element as I don’t do a lot of pink.  The card looks better in person…lighting was difficult to get a good picture.  I didn’t have any charcoal grey paper so I cut down white cs and stamped it with my charcoal colorbox chalk ink pad.  The inside is stamped with “you brighten my day”.

challenge 3.  This challenge called for punching a window in your card and tying ribbon or twine from it.  I decided to run the cover through an embossing folder first, then punched the circle.  I traced the circle in pencil very lightly so I couls see where to stamp my image.

Happy 21st Birthday Jackie!

My cousin turned 21 and this is a little survival kit I made her.  It’s full of things that she can use anytime.  The yellow paper tells her what it is all for.

Here’s a close up of the tag that;s hanging on the bucket.  The stamp is Studio G ($1 set that I picked up a year or to ago…St. Patrick’s Day theme).  Brad is spare parts by the paper studio.  I used DMC floss to tie the tag to the bucket.  All the paper was from HL out of my scrap box.  The tag is from the scalloped tag combo set #2 by Sizzix.  The punch border is Martha Stewart.  I colored the image with Sharpies.

Ouchie Dragon

So, two weeks ago my niece rode her bike down their front steps and had to get a staple in the back of her head. Then last week on a trip to Menards she fell down the metal stairs and split her lip open, requiring it to be glued. We decided she could use a little cheering up so here is a treat bag I made her. I stamped the envelope with versamark using a background stamp from Martha Stwearts backgrounds. Then I cut the top off with my zigzag cutterpede. I filled the back with tropical Mike and Ikes. This adorable ouchie dragon is a digital image from Dustin Pike (site on my side bar). I colored it in using sharpies.

Busy around here

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted in 4 days! We have been pretty busy around here getting ready for school to start up again :( Here are some things that I have created in the last couple of days. I hope you enjoy them. This card I made for the SCS challenge SC239, a sketch challenge. If you have not been to Splitcoaststampers before, you have to check it out. There is a link in my sidebar. I made this card using the scraps I had from the bridal party cards I made for my sister. The image was colored with Sharpies. The image is called Blossoms and it’s a Snag’em clear stamp from imaginisce.

I made this little bag of goodies for a friend. Our boys had swimming lessons together and the last week we didn’t get to go because Tanner injured his ear and had to stay out of the water. She kept updating his swim teacher and then grabbed his certificate on the last day of lessons for us. I thought this would be a fun way to show her my appreciation! This little bag is made from an envelope. I stamped the candy all over it and colored them in with sharpies. To prevent bleeding I cut down a 4×6 index card so it would fit into the envelope, then colored in the images. I used my Cutterpede scallop blade for the top design. Make sure you score your envelope before stamping it :) I forgot to do that step first on this one and that’s why the many thanks is so close to the bottom and right edge of the bag. This bag is holding 6 of the covered Hershey’s nuggets. I stamped the images on address labels and then wrapped them around it. The images are from Studio G clear stamps that I got in Michael’s Crafts dollar bins awhile back. The card is 2×2 and I attached it to the bag using an office clip so that it would work for Thursdays challenge at SCS WT229. Then I tied a piece of red ribbon around one side of the metal piece.

I covered the top part of the brown cs with a two Post-it notes. Then I stamped the the design using a stamp from Martha Stewart’s clear pattern stamps. I used ColorBox chalk chestnut roan. The image is Stampabilities cattails and dragonflies. I stamped that in the chestnut roan and then colored it using Sharpies. I tied it with rustic jute twine from Papertrey ink and tied a rustic wood vintage button on it…also from Papertrey ink.
